A little history.......

Rasputin was a Russian mystic and self-proclaimed holy man. He was best known for his role as a mystical adviser in the court of Czar Nicholas II of Russia. Others called him the "mad monk". His political enemies tried to kill him by lacing his food with cyanide but it had no effect. They eventually shot him. His last prophecy shortly before his death stated that if he was killed by government officials, the entire imperial family would be killed by the Russian people. His prophecy came true 15 months later, when the czar, his wife and all of their children were murdered by assassins amidst the Russian Revolution.
